Tucci Learning Solutions has CLM implementation partners throughout the world. ABA therapy in Dubai is spearheaded by the ABT Institute, founded by Nipa Bhuptani. This post is from their blog page. You can read more here.
ABT Institute stands as a beacon of hope for families affected by developmental delays such as autism in the UAE, offering a holistic approach to support children with diverse needs. At ABTI, we recognize each child as a unique individual with strengths and potential waiting to be unlocked. The institute’s approach is centered on compassionate, personalized interventions tailored to meet the specific requirements of every child.
Our ABA Therapy in Dubai is based on the Competent Learner Model (CLM). CLM combines the evidence-based principles of ABA with a compassionate and person-centered approach to intervention. By valuing individual differences, promoting positive relationships, and fostering a supportive learning environment, CLM exemplifies how ABA can be implemented in a compassionate and empathetic manner. Unlike conventional ABA, which often prioritizes surface-level behaviour modification, CLM delves deeper, understanding that behaviours are expressions of unmet needs, emotions, or distress.
What you can expect at ABTI

Comprehensive Assessment:
The journey at ABTI begins with a thorough CLM repertoire assessment conducted by our highly experienced BCBA, CLM Coach & CLM Therapist. Through the observations of the learner & interview with the family, the team identifies the child’s strengths, challenges, and areas requiring targeted intervention. This assessment serves as the foundation for designing individualized treatment plans.
Evidence-Based Interventions:
Upon completion of assessment, the therapist places the learner on the CLM curriculum for each repertoire. Our intervention begins with pairing: process of building a positive and trusting relationship between the therapist or instructor and the learner. This process is crucial as it sets the foundation for effective teaching and learning within the ABA framework. Intervention at ABTI consists of these sequential steps: Initial engagement without demands, building rapport, gradual introduction of demands, monitoring & adjusting for success, transition to instruction.
As the intervention continues; there is consistent data collection, program review and communication amongst the team & the family. The program is agile and responsive to the learners needs & the curriculum has flexibility for the individual preferences.
We conduct regular program update meetings with parents & school teams.
ABTI employs evidence-based interventions rooted in the latest research and best practices in the field of autism intervention. These interventions aim to enhance communication, foster social skills, develop adaptive behaviours, and promote academic progress.
Family-Centered Support:
We recognize the pivotal role of families in the journey of children with autism. ABTI Institute places a strong emphasis on collaboration and support for parents and caregivers. With our open-door policy, we encourage parents to attend the ABA therapy in Dubai sessions, observe and learn. Regular parent training is available and encouraged. Upon showing interest & commitment, we give families FREE access to our training programs. Through parent training sessions, workshops, and counselling, ABTI equips families with knowledge, skills, and resources. Families need these to effectively support their child’s development at home and in the community. This collaborative approach fosters a supportive environment conducive to the child’s growth and well-being.
Inclusive Education and Community Integration:
ABT Institute advocates for inclusive education and community integration, striving to create environments where children with autism can thrive alongside their peers. The institute works closely with schools, educators, and community organizations to promote awareness, acceptance, and accommodation for individuals with autism. By fostering inclusive practices and promoting understanding, ABTI contributes to building a more inclusive society where we value and support every child.
At ABTI we stand for Empowering Lives with Intervention, Education & Compassion.
