Vicci Tucci Legacy Award 2025

About The Vicci Tucci Legacy Award 2025:

From a young age, Vicci Tucci was driven by a passion to help others succeed. Growing up near a state hospital in West Virginia, she was inspired by the transformative impact of Behavior Analysis in teaching individuals new skills. This early inspiration led her to connect the principles of B.F. Skinner with her own work, ultimately pioneering the Competent Learner Model (CLM).

Throughout her career, Vicci dedicated herself to expanding opportunities for individuals with disabilities, working as a BCBA, mentor, and global advocate. Her influence extended beyond classrooms and across borders, guiding the implementation of CLM throughout the United States, France, Italy, Budapest, Canada, UAE, China, and beyond. A true pioneer in the field, Vicci was among the first 206 professionals in the world to earn BCBA certification—yet she always credited the remarkable individuals who shaped her learning.

Vicci’s legacy is one of unwavering dedication, lifelong learning, and a deep commitment to empowering others. In her spirit, The Vicci Tucci Legacy Award 2025 honors an individual who exemplifies these same values—a caring coach, an inspiring educator, and a passionate purveyor of the Competent Learner Model.

This year’s recipient, Christina Lovaas, upholds Vicci’s vision of transforming lives through knowledge, compassion, and the power of learning.

Congratulations to the second recipient of the Vicci Tucci Legacy Award 2025, TUCCi’s Chief Behavioral Officer & Clinical Director, Christina Lovaas!
